 I don't know whether  to  call this a movie , or a documentary .
its about  a little known, middleclass , jazz singer  , who rose  above  her  troubled life,
to become  one of the  best  jazz singers  of  our time .
Amy Winehouse.
this is a  must see.  for parents and teens,  to show the perils  of addiction. to drugs and alcohol.
what both  can do to ones mind, body,  spirit and soul.
how all this brought down  her tragic downfall .

where being a Geisha, is still someone to look up to and strive to be.
Not knowing what being a Geisha really entails .
A little  girl  is sold by her family  to a Geisha house .
as a servant girl  , and is taken by their  beauty, and strives to be one of them.
 but do  her dreams fall apart , or do  her dreams come true,
and is being a Geisha all its cracked up to be?
only time will tell
Memoirs  of a Geisha  is packed with colour,
gripping with emotion  and tears at your heart.

dog day afternoon

A very young Al Pacino  stars in this  bizarre  true story
called  Dog day afternoon , Which happened  in California
on  the 22nd  of August  1972.
Al Pacino  is great in this role as the over the top caring  sonny,
its gripping , funny and sad  at the same time.
All the actors played brilliant parts.
Al Pacino  shone as a  failed bank robber, there are twists we didn't see coming .
it just goes to show truth is stranger than fiction .
if you are into  classic movies,  then this is a must see.

Exorcist the beginning

Exorcist the beginning was released  in 2004, the  prequel  in the Exorcist series.
The  Exorcist we all know ,   came to our screens in1973 was horrifying and had you glued to your seat  with fear .
But with this prequel, It had its moments .
it still gave us the creeps though .
its set around an ex priest,  turned Archaeologist, who  has lost  total faith in everything,
 including  humanity .
will  he be able to find his faith, or will he be  living his life in an  internal  hell .
We  enjoyed this movie,  it made us shudder

the adventures of clutch powers {the lego group} 2010

 Clutch  powers and his team  fight evil,  from saving a kingdom, to catching  villains.
do  they do it all or do they fail , This is a delightfully funny movie,
with  its corny one liners.
they are always getting themselves out of scrapes, by building new  machines out of Lego from the side of  the road .
I was left glued to my seat, watching this movie, fearful that I would miss a bit.
with  its constant action, this  movie is for adults and children alike,
And a must see for Lego Heads.
I just loved this movie and I'm still laughing.

the sin eater

well the other day  we saw the movie the sin eater
with Heath Ledger.
the movie was set in beautiful Rome, where a young priest is questioning  his faith.
And delves into a world not condoned by the Catholic church .
the more  he delves the deeper he gets .
as we got more into the movie the plot got lost somehow, it lost it's grip on me.
and never got it back, which was a shame because it is a good storyline .
Heath Ledger  let the film down ,with his constant mumbling and motionless face.
I was waiting for some kind of expression but there was none.
Heath  Ledgers sidekick  saved the movie, his acting was believable and I could have watched him  for hours .
he should have been cast as the lead actor I feel  it would have been a better movie by far.
